Before he was a top running coach, Eliud was an elite competitor. He’s the most decorated runner in TCU history, still holding school records in the 800m, 1500m, 3000m, and the mile (PR: 3:56.84!). His accolades include multiple national championships, a Penn Relays victory, and a Conference USA Cross Country title—all in a single season.
Before his time at TCU, Eliud was a twelve-time national champion at Dodge City College (1998–2000) and was later inducted into the Dodge City College Hall of Fame for his outstanding accomplishments. After graduating TCU, Eliud competed professionally for Asics before shifting his focus to coaching in 2008.
Since 2008, Eliud's coaching has led to:
🏅 42 high school athletes competing at state championships
🎓 32 athletes earning college scholarships
💰 20 earning full or partial athletic funding
🇺🇸 3 athletes serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, including a Marine of the Year recipient
Regardless of an athlete's ability or goals, Eliud creates a culture of excellence, consistency, and joy that encourages them to reach their maximum potential
Elite Running Foundation was founded in 2023, but Eliud’s mission started long before that. For years, he personally covered gear, training, and race fees for athletes in hard times. The Foundation now expands this impact, giving more runners the support they need to excel.
We provide world-class training and mentorship while giving athletes financial support to focus on one thing—reaching their full potential.
