Before becoming an elite running instructor, Eliud was an elite runner himself! He is the most decorated runner in the history of TCU. In fact, he still holds school records in the 800m run, the 1500m run, the 3000m run, and the mile (with a PR of 3:56.84!). Eliud has won multiple national championships, including the WAC Championship in the mile, the open mile at the Penn Relays, and the Conference USA Cross Country title (all just in one year!). After graduating from TCU with a degree in business, Eliud went on to earn an impressive career as a professional runner for Asics until retiring. He now focuses his efforts on training and developing other runners to achieve their own potentials and fitness goals.
As of 2023, Eliud's coaching has resulted in:
- 41 high school runners competing at state championships
- 31 athletes earning scholarships to attend college
- 19 athletes earning full or partial collegiate running scholarships
- 3 athletes have served in US Armed Forces, with one earning the Marine of the Year award in 2021.
Eliud is a dedicated athletic trainer and life coach, having extensive experience with developing runners of all distances and abilities. Eliud has been in personal training for over 7 years and has been running highly successful boot camps over 4 years.
Elite Running Foundation was officially founded in 2023. Before this, Eliud was going out of pocket to support his athletes who couldn't afford gear, training, and meets. This approach only enables so many promising athletes to reach their potential, which is why the Foundation was launched.
Our mission is to extend world-class training and mentorship to more young people, and to enable financially struggling runners to focus on one thing: becoming the best athletes and young adults they can be.
